SERVER

A server is a device with a particular set of programs that provides various services which other machines (or clients) request in order to perform certain tasks. Together, a server and its clients form a client-server network, creating a routing system and enabling centralized access to information, resources, stored data, etc. A server can be considered as a technology solution that provides files, data, print, fax resources for multiple computers.

Advanced servers enable administrators to handle the accounts and passwords, allow or limit the access to shared resources, automatically store data and access business information remotely.

For Instance, a file server is a machine that maintains files and allows clients or users to upload and download files from it. Similarly, web server hosts websites and allows users to access these websites.

At Instyle Solutions, we have a team of certified technicians, who evaluate an organization’s network application, provide consultancy for appropriate server configuration and facilitate implementation and support services for the same.

Storage Server

Storage Server is a type of server that is used to store, access, secure and manage digital data, files and services. It is a purpose built server used for storing and accessing small to large amount of data over a shared network or through the internet.

It serves as a central point of access for data storage for local or remote clients. It can be used for routine or frequently used data storage and access, or it can serve as a backup server for storing backup data.

Network Area Storage (NAS)

NAS device is a storage device connected to a network that allows storage and retrieval of data from a central location for authorized network users and varied clients. NAS devices are flexible and scalable i.e. additional storage can be added. It’s a fast, cost effective and easy to operate.

Storage Area Network (SAN)

SAN is a network of storage devices that can be accessed by multiple servers or clients, providing a shared pool of storage space. Each computer on the network can access storage on the SAN as though they were they were local disks connected directly to a central computer.  It eliminates bandwidth bottlenecks, acts as a central storage management system and results in faster backups.
